The foundation believes that
experiencing re-creations of the living and working environment
our ancestors experienced is necessary to fully understand the
social and economic challenges they faced and the beliefs and
practices we inherited.
The Colonel Crowther
Foundation will strive to cooperate with, and obtain the support
of, reenactment groups and others who actively participate in
living history. Emphasis will be placed on the social, business,
and camp life of the civil war era while including the military
combat aspects of this period in American history.
Demonstrations of our colonial heritage in this region will be
encouraged.
In addition to events
organized by the foundation, we will offer support for, and/or
participation in, events conducted by other groups or
individuals that further the foundation’s education objective.
This support may take the form of financial aid and/or use of
other resources to assist with the planning and performance of
events.
